Three Kansas Congressional members honored for quality of their websites

April 23, 2010

— Three members of Kansas' congressional delegation are being honored for their office websites by a Washington-based nonprofit group.

Sen. Sam Brownback and Reps. Lynn Jenkins and Jerry Moran, all Republicans, have received "Silver Mouse" awards from the Congressional Management Foundation.

Their websites received "A'' grades and were among the 70 best for individual members of Congress. The top award was the "Platinum Mouse," followed by the "Gold."

The foundation says offices winning the silver give constituents plenty of information in a clear, concise and easy-to-access way.

Yeah, and when I unsubscribed from Lynn Jerk's (self-serving) website I received three notices that I had done so. Seems to me that when one says, "Don't send me anything" that the law says "Don't send anything to this person". There are strict laws that I have to follow about unsolicited electronic mail, so I have no idea why the Federal lawmakers do not have to follow the same laws. A warning, Lynn: DO NOT SEND ME ANYTHING AGAIN OR I WILL FOLLOW THE LAW.

I have been trying to get off Lynn Jenkins "robo call" list for several months. I have called her office and e-mailed requests to be removed from her obnoxious dinner time calls. I made the mistake of supporting her last time but will not do so again as she runs the most unresponsive congressional office that I have dealt with.

Let's not forget about the blatant self-serving lies Jenkins sends out in the mail courtesy of our tax dollars!
