The body of a dead man was found floating in the Kansas River in Jefferson County Sunday afternoon.

According to a press release from Jefferson County Sheriff Jeff Herrig, a boater on the river found the body about 1:15 p.m. about 3 miles west of the Lecompton boat ramp.

The death is still under investigation.

Hey, I didn't say I'm glad someone was found in the river, but its obviously someone. I'm just stating my preference as to who that should be.

Only sketchy information about a body in the river and already 12 comments that are nonsense. Sad comment on the intelligence of anonymous commenters.
