Hey, KTA, doesn't that make you wish you hadn't COMPLETELY closed the East Lawrence exit?

LJW, did you know that they've renamed the exits on the turnpike? West Lawrence now labeled "MacDonald Drive" and East Lawrence now labeled "N 2nd Street"...

That actually kind of makes sense, you can't really call the West Lawrence exit west Lawrence anymore now that the K-10 exit is open. It would be more accurate to call the Lecompton exit the west Lawrence exit and the McDonald Drive exit "central" Lawrence?

I was really criticizing the LJW for not keeping up with the times.

For myself, I don't think people know that those streets are "MacDonald Drive" or "N 2nd Street" so it doesn't help to name the exits after them... However, I give directions based on the exit numbers, so it doesn't really matter to me.

"Luckly there seemed to be no injuries." That's good to hear,

"I think a semi truck rear ended a 2009 Ford Focus." Bet I know who won that battle.

This whole situation was caused by a minivan that had run out of gas on the turnpike bridge. Thank God that no one was hurt -- we are so thankful for that.
