Vestal Shines: Abby Vestal scored five tries and completed nine conversion kicks as KU Women’s Rugby Club rocked Kansas State, 78-5, Saturday in Manhattan. Amanda Edinger added three tries, while Caitlin Wisler, Cherae Clark, Briana Slayton and Cat Boone had one apiece.

Spikes Hole-In-One: Andrew Spikes used a 3-iron to ace the 208-yard No. 7 hole on March 28 at Lawrence Country Club. Witnesses were George Grieb, Ryan Toner and Don Colvin.

Roesler Winner: Chad Roesler shot a 3-under 69 and won the weekly Jayhawk Golf Club tournament Sunday at Alvamar by five strokes over Tyler Cummins. Van Reichert shot 76 and William Gantz 77. In net scoring, Bud Stagg was low with a 71, followed by Casey Old 72, Pete Whitenight 72 and Mike Naegele 73.

Ruggers Roll: Dom Reiske had three tries, and Chase Billings added a try and five conversions as the Junior Jayhawks Rugby Club clipped Olathe, 45-26, on Saturday.
