Relays to feature distinguished sprinters

At this year’s 83rd Annual Kansas Relays, which begins Wednesday at Memorial Stadium, three distinguished international athletes will compete in a variety of men’s sprint events.

The men’s Invitational 100-meter dash will feature Churandy Martina, a two-time Olympian from the Netherlands Antilles. Martina will make his Kansas Relays debut at 2:45 p.m. on April 17.

Two-time Olympian Brendan Christian of Antigua and Barbuda will race in the men’s Invitational 200-meter dash at 3:45 on April 17.

The men’s Invitational 110-meter hurdles will see the return of former Kansas Relays champion Dexter Faulk. Faulk will compete as a professional in the event at 1:50 p.m. on April 17.
