Two Lawrence men were arrested Wednesday afternoon on charges of aggravated assault. According to Lawrence Police Sgt. Dave Hubbel, the incident occurred in the 2700 block of Princeton Boulevard just before 3:30 p.m.

Hubbel said a young man had been walking down the sidewalk when two men drove by, making derogatory comments from inside their vehicle. They then presented a knife and made threatening motions with it toward the man on the sidewalk.

Officers near the scene stopped the vehicle, and the two Lawrence men, one 19 years old and the other 21 years old, were booked into the Douglas County Jail.

No one was injured during the incident.
