A portion of Sixth Street was blocked off early Sunday morning because a power pole was down on the street.

According to Douglas County Emergency dispatchers, someone hit a power pole on Sixth Street near the Rodeway Inn and the Ranch after 4 a.m. Police shut down the road around 5 a.m. for safety reasons. The road was expected to be closed for about two hours, but as of about 8:45 was still shut down.

Westar Energy reported about 155 customers in the area were without power.
