David Murphy hit a two-run homer for Texas in the seventh off Joakim Soria, three innings after knocking Royals starter Luke Hochevar out of the game with a hard hit up the middle. Hochevar didn’t return for the start of the fifth after a ball hit by Murphy ricocheted off his left ankle. The Royals said Hochevar had a bruised ankle.
