Oxford, Miss. ? Senior Emily Powers and junior Meghna Bal fired even-par rounds of 72 and the Kansas women’s golf team sat in a tie for seventh place Friday after day one at the Ole Miss Rebel Intercollegiate.

Kansas shot a team score of 300. Tulane set the pace for the event with a two-over par 290.

The tournament will continue at 8 a.m. today.
