‘Encore’ a treat

To the editor:

You have to admire the courage and heartiness of the crocus and daffodil. After a bitter winter and dreary spring, they still remain unafraid of displaying their early, joyous bloom. I thought of this vigor after attending the “Encore” performance at Free State High School this past weekend. What a group of talented and energetic students! Pure antidote for those inclined to see the glass as half-empty or worried about the future of this country. Big thanks to all those who helped to put together and perform at this wonderful concert.

My thoughts exactly. There are some great kids out there. I love to live where the seasons change and you can see the trees leaf up and the grass turn green and the flowers bloom. After the winter comes the spring.
