Governor appoints two to Citizens’ Utility Ratepayer Board

? A leading proponent for renewable energy and a professor from Lawrence have been appointed by Gov. Mark Parkinson to the board that represents consumers in utility rate cases.

Nancy Scott Jackson, of Eudora, who is executive director of the Climate and Energy Project at the Land Institute, and Stephanie Kelton, an economics professor at University of Missouri-Kansas City, have been named to the Citizens’ Utility Ratepayer Board.

“Stephanie and Nancy will bring the needed experience to ensure Kansans are receiving a just and fair treatment when it comes to their utilities,” Parkinson said.
