The Kansas women’s basketball team is ranked No. 22 in the recently released Athlon Sports College Basketball preseason issue. KU is one of four Big 12 schools to make the preseason top 25.

In addition, KU senior Danielle McCray was honored by the magazine as a preseason second-team All-American.

The Jayhawks were 22-14 last season, ending with a run to the WNIT title game.

Late Night in the Phog will officially open the basketball season on Oct. 16.
