Lawrence Parks and Recreation will be hosting a garden tour to increase awareness about ways to landscape with minimal water usage.

The department will provide tours of the Lawrence Rotary Arboretum and Xeriscape Garden, 5100 W. 27th St., at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. The tour is free.

Staff members will be on hand to provide information about various types of native plants and trees that can do well in the Kansas climate without much irrigation.
