Wichita ? The trial of the man accused of killing abortion provider George Tiller has been continued until Jan. 25, 2010.

Fifty-one-year-old Scott Roeder was scheduled to go to trial Monday on charges of first-degree murder and aggravated assault in the May 31 shooting at Tiller’s church.

Georgia Cole, spokeswoman for the Sedgwick County District Attorney’s office, announced the new date on Friday.

Prosecutors and defense attorneys had both said previously that they wanted the trial to be moved to a later date.
