Rita York has been named the general manager of the Community Mercantile Market and Deli, 901 Iowa. York joined the staff in 2005 and was promoted to the store operations manager position one year later. She has continually demonstrated her leadership capabilities.

York’s commitments to help ensure the sustainability of our community’s food supply and to provide a reliable source of healthy, local and organic foods inspire her work at The Merc.

The Community Mercantile, celebrating 35 years of serving the community, is co-operatively owned by more than 4,500 individuals and provides a diverse selection of locally grown meat, poultry, dairy and other products.
