KU soccer settles for 0-0 tie

? Kansas University outshot Colorado College handily, but the teams played to a scoreless college soccer tie on Sunday in the final match of the Colorado College Invitational.

KU outshot Colorado, 23-15.

The Jayhawks moved to 5-1-1, while the Tigers are 3-2-1. The scoreless tie was KU’s first since 2005.

Whitney Berry led the Jayhawk offensive attack with six shots, while sophomore Emily Cressy chipped in four.

Kansas senior goalkeeper Julie Hanley recorded her first shutout of the season, making three saves.

In their first seven matches of the season, the Jayhawks have blanked three opponents and held three other opponents to just one goal.

KU will play host to San Diego on Friday.
