Kansas defeated Wichita State 31-7 in football in another renewal of a periodic state rivalry.

Kansas University had started weekend seminars in connection with home football games, and the turnout of the public had been truly encouraging. The morning seminars were conducted by top-level KU faculty members, a number of whom the visitors had taken classes from before graduation.

The county commission began videotaping of its meetings after controversies had caused uncertainty about what was said and done in previous meetings. Bob Neis pushed the issue of the taping.
