Haskell lost, 61-6, to McPherson Saturday, Sept. 5.

The Haskell Indian Nations University football team lost, 61-6, to McPherson on Saturday night at home.

Tim Keeton scored the lone Fightin’ Indians touchdown on a 20-yard reception from quarterback Ryan Alden.

Haskell dropped to 1-1 on the season.

“We struggled to move the ball on offense and on the ground,” Haskell coach Eric Brock said. “We really wanted to come out and establish a running game and it didn’t work out.

“Then, we’d get something going, and penalties would hinder us a bit.”

Haskell will play host to Rhodes on Saturday.
