Kanwaka FCE will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the home of Lyn Walther, 794 Hwy. 40, Lawrence.

The lesson, “A Child Is Asking, Take Me To the Movies,” will be given by Margaret Fuston.

The Family & Community Education Council Fall Tour will be Sept. 30 and is open to all. Registration and tour schedule may be picked up at Douglas County Extension Center, 2110 Harper. Deadline for registration is Sept. 9; cost is $77 per person.

The group will travel to Paul Boyer Museum of Animated Carvings in Belleville and have a gourmet lunch served at the Huckleberry Tea House in Concordia. Participants will be divided into groups of four to visit Brown Grand Theatre, The National Orphan Train Complex, Nazareth Motherhouse and Cloud County History Museum at Concordia. The tour will leave Concordia and drive to Barnes, for an evening buffet at the Our Daily Bread Bake Shop & Bistro.
