Kansas State band gets new uniforms

? Kansas State University’s Pride of Wildcat Land Band begins the new school year with new uniforms.

Fans will get their first look at the uniforms when the band takes the field during Saturday’s football season opener against Massachusetts in Manhattan.

Band members have raised more than $217,000 so far to pay for the uniforms.

The university says 325 uniforms have been delivered, but band director Frank Tracz says 100 more are needed to meet future needs.

The band has a goal of raising $250,000 to pay for increased uniform costs and growing membership.
