Kansas University’s Student Union Activities and the KU Oxfam chapter are hosting the 2009 OXFAM America Hunger Banquet from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Nov. 16 in the Big 12 and Jayhawk rooms in the Kansas Union.
The annual event is aimed at increasing awareness about poverty, hunger and social justice. Participants at the event will receive a meal card indicating either a high-, middle-, or low-class income status. That card will then determine the type of meal they will receive during the dinner.
Jim French, lead agricultural organizer for Oxfam America will speak during the event.
The event is free and open to KU students, but students must pick up a voucher from the SUA Box Office on the fourth level of the Kansas Union to participate.
For more information, call the SUA box office at 864-7469.

The “social justice” movement is the promotion of Marxism, nothing more and nothing less, so just go ahead and call it what it is.

I'm sure you screw everyone you come in contact with, kubacker, thereby neutralizing the evil menace of “social justice.”

kubacker, you're 25% correct. Marx did talk about it. So did Thomas Paine, Jesus Christ, Mohandas Gandhi, and several other historic notables.

I've got to give you credit. You're the most consistent no-facts-only-personal-attacks goon on the LJW boards.

Jeez, kubacker, your initial post on this thread was a pure ” no-facts-only-personal-attack.” Your clear intent was to villify anyone who seeks “social justice,” which to me means that you are for “social injustice.” Why should I not assume that you regularly act on that conviction?
