100 years ago: Regents in discussions with car company

From the Lawrence Daily World for Oct. 26, 1909:

“The street car company and the university regents are discussing details of the contract of the car company and the university for a right-of-way through the campus. The main issue is the question of hauling of freight to the university. … The state architect is here going over plans for the first wing of the administration building with the regents.”
