EMU Theatre is gearing up for its third annual Halloween show, “Horrorshow IIID.”

The show will be presented at 8 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Oct. 30 and 31 at the Lawrence Arts Center, 940 Vt. Tickets are $6 at the door, and the show is suggested for “mature audiences only.”

The show includes four different looks at the Halloween-themed shows:

• “Storms, Sheets and Show Tunes,” written by Stacey Lane, in which spirited theater hosts conduct late-night auditions to find a replacement for a ghost who wishes to retire from haunting.

• “Pleasure,” by French writer Madame Rachilde, which was first performed in the 1890s. Two characters on the verge of maturity try to continue their childhood games as a mysterious force begins to intrude in their relationship.

• “Wet Paint,” by Steve Patterson, follows the saga of a woman who feels as though someone — or something — else resides in her house. She enlists her circle of friends to help, culminating in a night of wine, candles and a seance, which reveals an answer no one expects.

• “Blood Ties,” by EMU founding member Andy Stowers, which follows a father driven to torturing a young woman in hopes of saving his daughter.
