Two helicopter flyovers of the Kansas University campus are scheduled in the coming week.

As part of ongoing efforts to photograph and capture video of the changing landscape of the KU campus, the low-altitude flyovers are set for 10 a.m. to noon Sunday and 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesday.

They will fly over the main campus and West Campus areas. There are no plans to reschedule if the weather is bad.

Is this really news? I have at least ten life flights come over my house at altitudes low enough to rattle my windows every day. I guess it might freak some people out though...

@ironhorse66 - while I am not a Marion defender (and don't like anyone playing race cards), I took his post to be sarcasm of the old myth of Gov't Black helicopter that appear occasionally in some people's worlds. For once, I don't think he had a sinister meaning - but, I could be wrong.
