Baker routed, 52-30

? Lindenwood showed Baker University Saturday why the Lions are ranked No. 3 in this week’s NAIA football poll.

Lindenwood compiled 503 yards of total offense to pound the Wildcats, 52-30, in a Heart of America Athletic Conference game.

The Lions scored on eight of their first nine possessions, scored 50 or more points for the fifth time this season and improved their record to 6-0.

BU senior tailback Richie Bryant carried 33 times for 130 yards and two touchdowns. He also threw a 4-yard TD pass for Evan Branscum.

Baker (2-3) added a late TD on a five-yard pass to Cody Conover from Mack Brown, who completed 35 of 47 passes for 260 yards without an interception.

Derek Doerfler rounded out the Wildcats’ scoring with a 41-yard field goal.
