Baker to take on Lindenwood

The 5-0 Lions, ranked No. 3 in this week’s NAIA poll, are leading the Heart of America Athletic Conference is points scored (57.6), total offense (534.0 yards) and fewest points allowed (16.8).

Kickoff will be at 1:30 p.m. at Hunter Stadium on the Lindenwood campus.

Baker (2-2) has posted consecutive shutouts — 41-0 over Avila and 45-0 over Culver-Stockton — since opening with losses to No. 11-ranked Missouri Valley and No. 12 MidAmerica Nazarene.

BU senior running back Richie Bryant is second in the HAAC with 103.3 rushing yards per game and leads the league with nine touchdowns. Baker defensive end Andrew Patch (4.5 sacks) and Colton Miller (three interceptions) lead the conference in those categories.

Lindenwood edged Baker, 25-21, last year in Baldwin City for its sixth straight win over the Wildcats. Baker’s last victory over Lindenwood was a 22-0 decision in 2002.
