Local law enforcement officers will be waiting tables tonight, as part of a fundraiser for Crime Stoppers of Lawrence and Douglas County.

The annual “Tips for Tips” event is scheduled from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. today at Henry T’s Bar & Grill, 3520 W. Sixth St.

Games, prizes and drawings will help raise money for the community crime-fighting organization, which maintains a hot line at 843-TIPS (8477). Callers, who may remain anonymous, are eligible to receive rewards for information.
