Pawsible Dream benefit is Friday

Lawrence Humane Society will host the 15th annual Pawsible Dream Benefit at 6 p.m. Friday at the Lawrence Holidome, 200 McDonald Drive.

The event will include a silent and a live auction with donations from Lawrence and Kansas City area businesses. The silent auction will begin at 6 p.m. and the live auction will begin at 8 p.m. Items to be auctioned off include Kansas University homecoming football game end zone recliner seat tickets, a football helmet signed by Gale Sayers, Chiefs vs. Broncos football tickets, College World Series tickets, Southwest airline tickets, pet products and merchandise from local retailers.

Proceeds from the auctions will benefit abandoned and abused animals of Douglas County by providing food, shelter, medication, vaccinations and veterinary care.

Tickets are $25, and guests may register online at the Lawrence Humane Society or at the door.
