100 years ago: Missouri hands Kansas first loss

From the Lawrence Daily World for Nov. 26, 1909: “Something went wrong with the Kansas eleven in Kansas City and what had promised to be an ever-victorious hand proved to be a bobtailed flush. Missouri won the Thanksgiving Day football game by a score of 12-6, handing the Bert Kennedy team its first loss of the season. Kansas had won 18 games in a row dating back to a 4-0 victory over Missouri at the end of the 1907 season.”
