If you want a seasonal flu vaccine, the Take Care Clinic at Walgreens, 3421 W. Sixth in Lawrence, received about 300 doses Thurday, Nov. 19.

It is a walk-in clinic and is open from 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. weekdays and 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekends.

The flu shot costs $24.99 and is often covered by insurance. Health care providers can provide the vaccine to anyone who is older than 2.

The clinic does not have the H1N1 vaccination.

Nice. I called around Monday and no Walgreens in KC or Lawrence had any and said they didn't think they'd get more. Only the CVS at 81st & State in KCK had a small amount left. And now they announce Walgreens got more.

If you still need a shot, I'd head up there quickly. CVS in KC went through all of theirs at most of their stores (except KCK) in a weekend.

They do not have the nasal-spray vaccine, just the injection.

MrsG — Is that at the Lawrence clinic? Did you visit?

The clinic called today and clarified that only the shots were available in Lawrence.
