KSA Blaze Second: Kansas Soccer Academy Blaze finished second in the Boys Heritage Invitational U-13 Bronze Division last weekend in Overland Park. Team members are Damen Abbott, Kyle Berkley, Jakob Burdett, Garrett Cruce, Finn Dobbs, Austin Dominguez, Carson Gilliland, Jake Jimenez, Brennan Occhipinto, Randall Schmidt, Chas Sedlock, Matthew Siler, Sam Stephens and Kyle Vogelsang. The coach is Matt Donnelly.

Grove Champ: Kit Grove spilled Conrad Roberts, 3 & 1, to win the Jayhawk Golf Club scratch match play championship at Alvamar. Bud Stagg earned the consolation title with a 3 & 2 decision over Van Reichert. In net play, Mike Naegele won by tripping Mike Beaton, 4 & 3, and Reichert took the consolation 5 & 3 over Mike Farve.

Roberts Wins Finale: Conrad Roberts shot a five-under 67 from the short tees and edged Tyler Cummins by a stroke in the Jayhawk Golf Club Fall Finale Sunday at Alvamar. Van Reichert was third with a 76. In net scoring, Tom Taylor was low with a 67 followed by Chris Anderson at 68 and Dave Hurwitz at 70.

10K Trail Run: Lawrence Trail Hawks will stage the Sanders’ Saunter 10K trail run on Sunday at the Clinton Lake north shore trails. An entry form and information are available at www.lawrencetrailhawks.com or by e-mailing nick.lang@gmail.com.
