A 28-year-old KU student reported Wednesday the theft of a vehicle and other personal property. According to Lawrence Police Sgt. Susan Hadl, the incident occurred between 3:30 a.m. and 8:45 a.m. when the suspect entered the residence, which was believed to be unlocked.
The owner of the vehicle woke up to go to work only to find the keys to the vehicle missing, along with other personal belongings.
The resident then realized the car, which had been parked outside in the 1000 block of Iowa Street, was also missing. The PT Cruiser and other items that were stolen were estimated to be valued at more than $10,000.
