A person was punched in the face and robbed Thursday night while walking to his car at Kansas University, police said.

The incident occurred at midnight in the southwest corner of parking lot No. 90, which is between Allen Fieldhouse and Ambler Student Recreation Fitness Center.

Police said two men approached the 19-year-old victim, who is not a student. One of the suspects held the victim down, while the other punched him in the face.

The victim had his wallet stolen and was told by the suspects not to call police, officers said. The suspects left in a white Cadillac.

On Friday afternoon, police arrested one of the suspects, a 19-year-old Perry man. Officers are looking for the other, described as being a white man with dreadlocks, who was wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt.

Information about the crime should be reported to the KU Public Safety Office, 864-5900, or KU Crimestoppers, 864-8888.

Don't call the police! Does that ever work? I have saw white guys with dreadlocks that look really cute. You know when someone commits a crime like this, there are people out there who know who they are and what they did. They talk it up. If you knew that a friend or a member of your family had done this, would you turn them in?

Judging by the location on campus, were the suspects football or basketball players? Yes, I know that's irresponsible. I just don't care.
