Haskell women defeat Wesleyan
Haskell men's and women's basketball teams started their home slates with a pair of games Wednesday.

Kayla Davis hit a game-winning three-pointer with 15 seconds left, and Haskell Indian Nations University defeated Kansas Wesleyan, 64-62, in women’s college basketball Wednesday night at Coffin Complex.
The Fightin’ Indians rallied from a 31-20 halftime deficit.
“We just turned the ball over,” HINU coach Phil Homeratha said about the opening 20 minutes. “We had 26 turnovers in the first half. Otherwise, we’re ahead.”
Maria Parker totaled 25 points and eight rebounds, and Davis had 13 points and 11 rebounds to lead Haskell. Justina George scored eight points, and Autumn Burtt had six points and seven rebounds.
The Indians (2-1) will play St. Gregory’s (Shawnee, Okla.), on Friday in the Bacone College Classic in Muskogee, Okla. The Indians will meet Central Arkansas on Saturday.
