900 dollar shoes? Did somebody famous die in them?
snap_pop_no_crackle (anonymous) says…
Did the shoes still have feet in them?

They must have been $40 shoes with $860 worth of $20 stuffed inside them.

I'd have reported it as $900 WORTH of shoes. I would not have wanted to share with anyone that I spent that much on a pair of shoes. CRAZY

900 dollars. Wow! I can think of about 900 other things to do with that money besides buy ONE pair of Friggin' shoes!!!!

Where are all the capitalists? They would tell you if someone wants to sell shoes for $900, and someone wants to buy them, then they should be free to do that. Just don't raise their taxes, so they can't afford to buy these shoes. You will ruin the economy. He worked hard to deserve these shoes, and those of us who can't afford them, because his company out sourced all our jobs, are just envious. What a friggin joke.

i wonder if he had renters/homeowners insurance. if he did, did these items actually go missing or is this a scam?
and.. $900 shoes is stupid. women with shoe buying addictions don't buy $900 shoes. this guy must be fancy.

You want to pay $900 for a pair of shoes? Go right ahead. Just don't expect not to be roundly mocked for that.

I suspect it was $90.

Air Jordans do not cost $900. They are either a collectable shoe from the 80s or a misprint like toe posted.
oneeye_wilbur (anonymous) says…
were they insured? that would make a good insurance claim , let me know the name of the insurance underwriter, I have a pair of Walmart shoes that cost $10, but i'll tell the police they were worth $200. After all, who would know.

Man, I've heard of Italian hand-made wingtips selling with multiple zeroes, but this seemed insane. But I looked on ebay, and sure enough there are Air Jordans being listed at over 1 and sometimes several grand. man

I had friend in Jr. High who always bought two pairs when the new models of the Jordans came out each year. One he would wear, the other pair would stay in the box in his closet. I wonder if he kept them all these years.
nschwerm (anonymous) says…
did michael jordan actually wear them or what?

I imagined a sports guy that needed magic shoes. Maybe the team won't go to Munich this year.
