Three arrested on charges of battery, felony criminal damage

Men arrested Sunday morning after altercation in the 900 block of Tennessee

Three men were arrested early Sunday on charges of battery and felony criminal damage after an incident in the 900 block of Tennessee.

According to Lawrence Police Sgt. Susan Hadl, the men, two from Shawnee and one from Missouri, were involved in criminal damage to a residence and battery that occurred at a party that spanned two residences. The Shawnee men were 18 and 23 years old while the Missouri man was 24 years old.

Police responded to a report of a large disturbance about 1:30 a.m. Sunday. When the first officer arrived, a man took off running eastbound from the 900 block of Tennessee. The man was detained shortly thereafter in an alley in the 200 block of West 10th.

Witnesses and victims identified the man and two others as suspects associated with the criminal damage and battery.

No one was seriously injured in the incident.
