Haskell women lose to William Penn, 75-70

Point Lookout, Mo. — Maria Parker scored 22 points, and Justina George added 15, but Haskell Indian Nations University fell to William Penn, Iowa, 75-70, on Saturday in women’s basketball.
The Fightin’ Indians went 1-1 in the season-opening College of the Ozarks Classic.
“We just didn’t shoot well,” HINU coach Phil Homeratha said. “A young team, away from home, too many turnovers.
The Indians will play their home opener at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday against Kansas Wesleyan.
