Area residents can enjoy local food, fun and shopping at the East Hills Business Park today and Saturday, as the Lawrence Humane Society conducts its annual Gigantic Garage Sale.

The event begins at 8 a.m. and runs through 4 p.m. each day.

Bargain shoppers can choose from a selection of assorted household items, furniture, electronics and more. All proceeds from the sale will benefit the shelter. New Lawrence Humane Society T-shirts also will be sold at the event.

The garage sale is at 3813 Greenway Drive, just east of Lawrence, off Kansas Highway 10 at the East Hills Business Park.
