Drivers arrested for being under influence

Law enforcement officers booked 10 people into Douglas County Jail for drinking and driving during Memorial Day weekend, according to jail records.

Kansas Highway Patrol troopers booked three people into jail for driving under the influence between Friday evening and Monday evening. Meanwhile, Douglas County sheriff’s deputies arrested and booked two people into jail on suspicion of driving under the influence.

Lawrence police booked four people and Eudora Police booked one person on similar charges.

One person also was arrested in Lawrence on a charge of being intoxicated in the road.
