Kansas University junior Emily Powers will compete in the Duramed FUTURES Golf Tour’s Mercedes-Benz of Kansas City Golf Championship today through Saturday at Leawood South Country Club. Powers, the only amateur in the field, led the Jayhawks with a 76.45 scoring average this past season.

Powers will tee off on the first hole at 8 a.m. today with professionals Alexandra Braga and Santie Koch. Former KU golfer Amanda Costner is also in the field. She will tee off on the 10th hole at 12:40 p.m. today.
