Force U-11 Champs: Kaw Valley Force U-11 girls were age-group soccer champions at the Governor’s Cup last weekend in Topeka. Team members are Tori Karlin, Kirstin Hutfles, Emma Wetzel, Holly Hummel, Erin Ventura, Lauren Johnson, Anneliese Bourgeacq, Isabel Carttar, Allie Knapp, Elaine Harris, Skylar Drum and Sabrea Platz. Riny de Boer is the coach.

Maier Double-Eagle: Jack Maier used a 5-iron to record a double-eagle from 165 yards out Sunday on the No. 2 hole at Alvamar Public. Witnesses were Dereck Deck, Jordan Brown and Danny Faught.

Youth Baseball Camp: Lawrence High and Free State baseball coaches Brad Stoll and Mike Hill will conduct a camp for youths in grades K-8 on June 1-4 at the FSHS field. For information, call Stoll at 832-8284 or e-mail

KVSA Camps: Kaw Valley Soccer Assn. youth summer camps, including a four-day camp for youths ages 3-8 on June 29-July 2, will begin on June 1. For information, go to

Rallyball Tennis: A Rallyball tennis league for youths in grades 1-4 is scheduled every Wednesday this summer, starting June 3. Registration will be at 6 p.m. May 27 at the Central Junior High courts. Also scheduled is a Round Robin Ladder League for older youths. LCC Youth Golf: Lawrence Country Club will conduct a free golf clinic for youths ages 7-17 at 3 p.m. May 17. Golf clubs will be provided or participants can bring their own. For information, call 843-2938.
