Force U-11 Champs: Kaw Valley Force U-11 girls were age-group soccer champions at the Governor’s Cup last weekend in Topeka. Team members are Tori Karlin, Kirstin Hutfles, Emma Wetzel, Holly Hummel, Erin Ventura, Lauren Johnson, Anneliese Bourgeacq, Isabel Carttar, Allie Knapp, Elaine Harris, Skylar Drum and Sabrea Platz. Riny de Boer is the coach.

Maier Double-Eagle: Jack Maier used a 5-iron to record a double-eagle from 165 yards out Sunday on the No. 2 hole at Alvamar Public. Witnesses were Dereck Deck, Jordan Brown and Danny Faught.

Youth Baseball Camp: Lawrence High and Free State baseball coaches Brad Stoll and Mike Hill will conduct a camp for youths in grades K-8 on June 1-4 at the FSHS field. For information, call Stoll at 832-8284 or e-mail bstoll@usd497.org

Youth Football Camp: Lawrence High and Free State football coaches Dirk Wedd and Bob Lisher will conduct a camp for youths entering grades 3-9 on June 22-25 at Free State. Brochures are available at elementary schools. For information call Wedd at 832-5050 or Lisher at 832-6050.

KVSA Camps: Kaw Valley Soccer Assn. youth summer camps, including a four-day camp for youths ages 3-8 on June 29-July 2, will begin on June 1. For information, go to www.kawvalleysoccer.com.

KVSA Food Drive: Kaw Valley Soccer Assn.’s spring food drive will be Saturday and on May 16. Donations will be collected at the referee shed near Field 11. For information, contact Ray Chao at ray.chaoreferee@yahoo.com.

Rallyball Tennis: A Rallyball tennis league for youths in grades 1-4 is scheduled every Wednesday this summer, starting June 3. Registration will be at 6 p.m. May 27 at the Central Junior High courts. Also scheduled is a Round Robin Ladder League for older youths. LCC Youth Golf: Lawrence Country Club will conduct a free golf clinic for youths ages 7-17 at 3 p.m. May 17. Golf clubs will be provided or participants can bring their own. For information, call 843-2938.

LHS Football Meeting: Lawrence High football coach Dirk Wedd announced that the team will hold an informational parents meeting at 5:45 p.m. Thursday, May 14, at LHS.

Firebirds Summer Camp: Free State High girls basketball coach Bryan Duncan will host a summer camp for athletes in fourth through ninth grade July 6-9 at FSHS. The camp will run from 9 to 11:30 a.m. each day. For more information, contact Duncan at 832-6050 or via email at bduncan@usd497.org.
