A 39-year-old Topeka man was transported to a Kansas City hospital by air ambulance after an accident involving a four-wheeler Saturday afternoon. The incident occurred about 2:40 p.m. Saturday in the 2400 block of Harper Street.

Wayne Brandon Jr., of Topeka, was heading south on Harper Street on the non-street legal vehicle when the accident occurred. The Lawrence Police Department said the man did not suffer life-threatening injuries.
