KU women’s relay team wins in Arkansas

Due to inclement weather, Friday’s Arkansas Twilight in Fayetteville, Ark., was cut short, and the meet will not be rescheduled.

Before the cancellation, however, a few Kansas track and field athletes were able to complete their respective events.

The Jayhawk women’s 4×100-meter relay team of Nickesha Anderson, Kendra Bradley, Aubree Dorsey and Victoria Howard won the final event of the day, running a season-best time of 45.76 to defeat Iowa State (46.19) for the title.

Zlata Tarasova improved upon her regional-qualifying mark in the hammer throw with a toss of 183-00 feet, good for a fifth-place finish.
