Roundabout rules

To the editor:

Almost every time I use the roundabouts, I see drivers that either don’t know or don’t care doing dangerous and rude things. So, I submit the following Roundabout Rules for those who just don’t seem to get it:

1. If you have to punch it to get ahead of a car in the roundabout, you’d probably better wait.

2. The “Yield” sign you see as you enter the roundabout is for you, not for the car in the roundabout.

3. A large vehicle does not have special privileges getting into the roundabout. Apply 1 & 2 above.

4. Pedestrians in roundabouts have the same rights as pedestrians out of roundabouts. Unless you see a pedestrian you particularly want to own, you might want to yield.
