4-H and FCE news

The Clinton Eagles 4-H Club met March 23 at Wakarusa Valley School.

The meeting was called to order by Kirstyn Heine, president.

Roll call was answered by “If I could travel anywhere in the world, I would go….?”

Aubrey Goscha and Amanda Snodgrass led the club in singing “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star.”

Morgan Manger, secretary, read the minutes from the last meeting and Tessa Lieber read the treasurer’s report.

Lanaea Heine, community leader, told the club about Friendship Night, KAP training, 4-H camp enrollment and dates, and project add/drop deadlines.

Charles Garzillo, poultry leader, announced the countywide poultry club meeting was March 24.

Joe Lieber asked everyone to sign up to work two slots at the swap meet concession stand on May 1-3.

Annette McGraw shared information and proposed dates for the Clinton Lake Horse Trail cleanup day.

The club decided to conduct the clean-up on April 19 with a potluck to follow.

The meeting ended reciting the club pledge and motto.

The Garzillo, Coatney and Manger families provided treats for the meeting.

The next meeting will be a potluck April 27 at Wakarusa Valley.
