Fun-and-fitness enthusiasts are invited to enroll for a Zumba Jam Party, set for 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at the Community Building, 115 W. 11th St.

Lawrence Parks and Recreation is throwing the party, described as a “two-hour, intense workout party” to be conducted by two certified Zumba instructors. Organizers describe Zumba aerobics as incorporating salsa, belly dance, West African and other dance moves in a fun, partylike exercise format.

The party is open to people who are at least 16 years old, and the cost is $5.

Space is limited. Participants may pre-enroll at the Community Building or at Holcom Recreation Center, 2700 W. 27th St., or the East Lawrence Recreation Center, 1245 E. 15th St.

If space is available, walk-up enrollments also will be accepted.
