KU professor to speak at science meeting

Johannes Feddema, professor of geography at Kansas University and contributing author for the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, will speak at the Kansas Academy of Science’s 141st annual meeting.

The meeting is at 7 p.m. today in the Washburn Room of Washburn University’s Memorial Union, 1700 S.W. College Ave., Topeka. The event is free and open to the public.

Feddema’s research involves examining both natural and human-induced climate change and the effects of climate change on the environment. Feddema shares the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize with the other members of the climate change panel and received the Excellence in Undergraduate Advising Award and Teaching Excellence Award from KU.
