KU baseball stumbles at A&M

? Kansas University pitcher Shaeffer Hall scattered eight hits over 61/3 innings and allowed two earned runs, but he was outdueled by Texas A&M starter Brooks Raley in a 3-0 baseball loss Friday night.

Raley pitched seven shutout innings and struck out a career-high 12 Jayhawks.

KU’s five-game winning streak ended, and the Jayhawks dropped to 15-8 overall and 3-1 in the Big 12, while Texas A&M improved to 16-9 and 4-3.

KU’s offense mustered just three hits: an infield single by Robby Price, David Narodowski’s double and a fifth-inning single by Nick Faunce.

The series resumes at 2 p.m. today and concludes with a 1 p.m. game Sunday.
