Wichita ? The United Way of the Plains is warning the public to be wary of a possible fundraising scam.

The charity said Friday that it has received reports that an individual was going door-to-door asking for cash donations for the United Way. But the release said the United Way of the Plains doesn’t authorize collecting money door-to-door.
