Dentist makes ‘bail’ for fundraiser

Dr. Kelli Henderson was chosen as one of the Muscular Dystrophy Association’s “Most Wanted.”

The lock-up event was Feb. 26 at the Lawrence Local No. 1596 Fire Department. Dr. Henderson made “bail,” which was set at $1,600, through the generosity of her patients and other local dentists. She raised $2,237 and was “released.” Dr. Henderson also matched any donations dollar-for-dollar.

She enjoyed participating in the program to raise money to benefit families in the community affected by muscular dystrophy. She looks forward to working with the association and thanks her patients at Growing Smiles who helped “get her out of jail.”
